Today’s song is Purple Hat by Sofi Tukker.
Proof that a solid hook can make a fun song out of anything, especially this incredibly repetitive ear-worm.
This is Indie EDM, with some hard bass and goofy elements.

I got people on the people, dancing, dancing on the people.

I laughed my ass off the first time I heard this one. Then I listened to it 20 more times that night.
It’s an excellent earworm that builds perfectly. The second that baseline twang hits it becomes incredible.
Found myself muttering along to the lyrics, chuckling every time ‘people people’ showed up.
