Couldn’t look back at the 80’s without touching on the recent popularity of Synthwave.

Yeah, I know. Another cover? Deal with it.
The original by Michael Sembello (from the Flashdance soundtrack) still exists.
Let the new artists get a bit of recognition.

It can cut you like a knife, if the gift becomes the fire
On a wire between will and what will be.

This blend adds a ‘punch’ to an already manic song.
Serves as a solid rendition of the original but with enough flair to make it all it’s own.
Does it sound a bit ‘muddled’? Yeah, but I think it gives an industrialized, punk mood.
It’s all a matter of preference.
