Song of the Day: Olympia

Today’s song is Olympia by Lave.

Right from the onset I liked this song.
The way it built up.
The key change as it became more bombastic (but not too heavy off the bat).

Oh, Olympia. Why’d you have to go and take my heart?
I’m on solid ground. I’m falling for someone that I don’t know.

What? It laments the notion of young love/love at first sight.
I like songs like that.

Soft pop-rock.
Those steady elements that melted against a harmonizing note.
It has a nice balance between soothing and heavier notes.
