Song of the Day: Better as Friends

Today’s song is Better as Friends by Eighty Ninety.
Alt-pop? Yep. A ton of nostalgic motifs that really remind me of bands like The Midnight.

You either love this style or you hate it.
I like these elements more than I dislike them, so I’m sharing it.

I don’t wanna give this up, so here I am living in the past again.

A cool guitar-sweep for the bridge. I like the emphasis that the drum loops place on the lyrics.

It’s pretty simple in terms of lyrics. Repeats way too much (but that’s most songs).
Solid pop. Not too sugar-sweet.
Starts a bit more mellow and not so in your face about it (until it picks up with the chorus).
