Today’s song is Not Ready to Make Nice by The Chicks.
Yeah, still talking about the Chicks (used to call themselves the Dixie Chicks).

This song actually was their stance regarding a ton of nonsense they dealt with for getting ‘political’.
Basically the band was against how President Bush and Cheney led the US into the ‘war on terror’.
That’s a gross over-simplification, but yeah, they faced a lot a flack for simply having an opinion.

I’m still mad as hell, and I don’t have time to go ’round and ’round and ’round.

A powerful song that tells a story. Also kicks all kinds of ass.
