Song of the Day: Ex’s & Oh’s

Today’s song is Ex’s & Oh’s by Elle King.

General pop rock.
Bit of blues and alternative elements thrown in, but pretty fast-paced.
This one feels dated, at least by my standards, but it’s only from 2015.

It also has one of the best double-entendres for a lyric segment (on a radio-song) in years.

They always wanna come, but they never wanna leave.

Simple drum loop. A weighty base (if you can tune into it). Guitar dripping with emotion.

It’s a cool tune.
Not suited for constant playback (it’s a bit too fast-paced for what it is).
You can get easily tired of it, but it’s different enough to stand out.
