Song of the Day: Intergalactic

Today’s song is Intergalactic by Beastie Boys.

Had to do it. They have too many great hits.
They started as a hardcore punk band that morphed into an alternative Hip Hop/Rap Rock group.
A distinct ‘flavor’ of the genre that isn’t for everyone.
They have this alt-feel that you either love or hate.

Beastie Boys known to let the beat: Mmm, drop!.

This one is a bit chaotic, but it suits the theme. This was their last ‘huge’ hit (but it was their best selling album).

Some elements really make it feel like a 90’s song (in some charming ways).
Maybe that just because this song came out after the group had been together for over 15 years.
Hell, they created music together for four decades.
Their tracks are only going to sound more and more nostalgic.
