Today’s song is Ms. Jackson by Outkast.

This one takes me back. That opening hook just transports me directly to my childhood.
When this track starts a physical reaction takes place.
A ton of head bobbing and goofy ear-to-ear grinning.

The lyrics are actually rather heartbreaking.
It’s a lament from a father that never got to share his side of the story.

So who you placing the blame on? You keep on singing the same song.
Let bygones be bygones, you can go on and get the hell on. You and your mama.

That backing beat just has a perfect pace. That soft piano blends with the heavy lyrics.

Not much else to say about it.
It’s a great track that I’m rarely ever ‘not in the mood’ for.
