Song of the Day: Take Me Home, Country Roads

Today’s song is Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver.

This is a wonderful driving song.
It was also overused for some reason in various media in the mid 2010’s (a-la Fallout 76 and the Kingsman sequel)
Eh. Good music endures over the generations. The song is 50 years old (as of this year).
It has legs.

Drivin’ down the road, I get a feelin’ that I should’ve been home yesterday, yesterday.

The twang of the banjo and the steel guitar. It’s beautiful (and somehow haunting).

Not much else to say about this folk classic.
