Song of the Day: Hold the Line

Today’s song is Hold the Line by Toto.

A solid blend of epic and cheesy.
A testament to patience, resilience and knowing that love takes endless work.
Maybe I’m reading too much into it.
Whatever, just appreciate that kickass guitar, those sweet drums and the harmonies.

It’s not in the way that your love set me free.

Yeah, it has a lot of repetition, but this was a hard-rock track from the late 70’s.
Cut it some slack.

It’s a solid love-based power-ballad.
This song is equally soothing and energized.
I like the progression and the pacing.
Those solos are also exceptional.
