Today’s song is Hungry Like the Wolf by Duran Duran.

Some new-wave British synth-pop.
That laugh introducing that melodic hook gets me every time.
It’s just such an excellent sound. Energetic. Balanced. Beautiful.

Strut on a line, it’s discord and rhyme.

The song has clear animalistic sexual undertones. Someone on the prowl for a woman.

Clear outlandish themes aside, it’s extremely catchy.
They wrote and recorded the song in a single day.
Take what you will from that, but there is more than enough intrigue here to justify it’s popularity.

Also, watching Paul Giamati jam to this song while he got dyed blue never fails to make me chuckle.
