Song of the Day: Will It Go Round In Circles

Today’s song is Will It Go Round In Circles by Billy Preston.

Beautiful soul with a few Funk/R&B notes.
The use of horns really just solidify this as a classic.
You also can’t help but jam to the elements that pop in, like the harmonica or those electrifying keyboard chords.

This isn’t where the music’s at. I guess I’m going back down there.

His pure joy and the energy from his sound reminds me of Elton John.

For a fun bit of trivia, Preston was SNL’s first musical guest. Yep. Rightfully so.
I’ll likely highlight Nothing from Nothing at some point, but we’ll keep that our little secret.

For whatever reason Orlando Brown (from Disney’s That so Raven) made a cover of this song.
I know it sounds strange, but I kinda love it.
Credit must be given for how much effort was placed into it, because it clearly shows.
If you’re looking for a more contemporary version, you might actually enjoy it.
