Song of the Day: Back Porch

Today’s song is Back Porch by The Presidents of the United States of America.

Alt-rock. A bit comedic. Hints of grunge. A lovely blend.
Everyone jumped onto the ‘Peaches’ bandwaggon for some reason in the last 5 years.

I think this is the best song from their debut album.
It’s catchy, funny, has a sweet groove and it is a complete blast to sing.

Got fifteen hundred base drum luggin bug-eyed monkies.

Such a fun introduction that melts into a jam. Silly, but embraces what it’s trying to do.

I can’t get over how refreshing this one is.
I’ve loved this song since I was four, and for good reason.
It rocks.
