Song of the Day: Hey Man (Now You’re Really Living)

Today’s song is Hey Man (Now You’re Really Living) by the Eels.

Alt-rock. Somewhat indie-pop.
Likely the greatest cure for depressed thinking (from the mid 2000’s) that exists.

Such an upbeat track.
Equally whimsical, inspirational, outlandish and catchy.

Well I just saw the sun rise over the hill.
Never used to give me much of a thrill.

Really enjoy the use of the saxophone accompaniment.

The song is a celebration of life, even following sad moments.
One cannot appreciate the highest points of happiness without comparing it against the saddest times.

It’s a mix required to take both and enjoy the simple aspect of living.
A wonderful song.
