Song of the Day: Whole Wide World

Today’s song is Whole Wide World by Wreckless Eric.

Punk-rock.
One of my favorite build ups.
The progression only grows more saturated and catchy as it continues.

I need to thank the film Stranger than Fiction for introducing this one to me.
It’s a great track.

When the song adds the clapping I instinctively start bobbing along.

His voice is a bit grating, but it’s certainly unique.

There is a cool cover of this song by Cage the Elephant.
Adds a lot with contemporary elements (and I dig the greater emphasis on the instrumentation).
