Song of the Day: Alive

Today’s song is Alive by Krewella.

Europop from the early 2010s.
Wanted some dance music to break up the monotony.
You’ve likely heard this one, so it might be a bit nostalgic.
It that’s the case, you’ll likely be shocked by how well this one holds up.

I’m a sucker for the progression of this one.
The mixing is superb. It has a weight to it without being to harsh/grating.
Just the right amount of time before melding back to the lyrics.

And I just wanna sink into your crazy laughter.
Come on make me feel until the pain don’t matter.

The dichotomy between the beat and the vocals serves as a great back and forth.

Is it repetitive? Yeah. Most progressive house is.
The key factor here is that it does it what it needs to, and it does it well.
That can be rare.
