Song of the Day: Cigarettes
Today’s song is Cigarettes by The Color and Sound.
Something quick, a bit aggressive, and a high BPM.
You likely haven’t heard this one.
You’re in for a treat.
The brass inclusion is such a great aesthetic choice.
When paired with the vocals it really makes the track stand out.
Something tells me I fell back a step.
One step forward two steps back, again.
One step forward two steps back, again.
Those drums are such a wonderful backing. Really adds a punch.
The timing is such a focus here, and the pacing really feels tight.
I’m a sucker for the pauses to emphasize the lyrics.
Has a real rock/Irish-jig vibe. Just works for me.
