Song of the Day: Let’s Go Crazy

Today’s song is Let’s Go Crazy by Prince & The Revolution.

The old way of life is over. Consider this it’s eulogy.
Some rock with funk/new wave elements.
One of the best songs from the strangest pop sensations in the last few decades.

I love the energy of this one.
It never fails to put me in a solid mood.
The guitar is a strong component of that. Those sweeps are excellent.

Those vocals make the song excellent. The drums keeping the pace helps as well.

As a general introduction to Prince’s style, it works rather well.
Showcases his flair for the exquisite, a solid jam, heavy vocals and excellent representation of various musical themes.

Has a energized vibe that sticks with me.
It’s one of my favorite songs of his, and I’ve played it dozens of times.
