Song of the Day: Like Whoa
Today’s song is Like Whoa by Aly & AJ.
Quick nostalgic pop-rock from an interesting sister group.
You’ll recognize them if Disney Channel was part of your childhood (in my generation).
If you’re unaware of them, check out their work.
It’s certainly changed with the times (and their recent sound is rather good).
This song is quick, to the point, and has a solid pace.
Well worth examining, as it’s some of the least ‘dated’ mid-2000’s music tangentially related to Disney.
I love the wind but I hate the sound.
This album was more electronic than their first album, which piques my interest.
When most think of teen-pop they’re inundated with a ton of banal crap.
You may find this to fit within that description, and I can understand why.
As I grow older, it’s likely that many will find this to be a odd relic from a time best left forgotten.
Eh. All music is good music. You don’t have to like what I share.
I just want to showcase what stands out to me, and today, it’s this song that came out when I was ten.
