Today’s song is Maneater by Hall and Oates.
New-wave/Pop.
The mood of this track is so mellow that you’d think it was soul.
Right from the intro you find yourself in a soothing song dripping with a solid groove.
Mind over matter.
Ooh, the beauty is there but a beast is in the heart.

That saxophone solo is beautiful. Really adds so much to the song.
While the lyrics note a woman in particular, the song itself is more about greed.
When I was a child, this song actually freaked me out.
My imagination was running wild, taking it literally, warning about a female monster.
