Song of the Day: Don’t Fear The Reaper
Today’s song is Don’t Fear The Reaper by Blue Öyster Cult.
Psychedelic rock.
A song with a cowbell (although it needs more cowbell).
This track is a haunting sound that draws attention to the strength of the lyrics.
When you investigate their meaning, it’s a sad tale about love, loss and longevity.
Love of two is one. Here but now they’re gone.
That bridge is something else. Just breaks the sound down into something that resonates.
I’m a sucker for the drums. They meld so well with the eclectic sound around them.
Just gives this marching beat that accentuates everything.
