Song of the Day: Abracadabra

Today’s song is Abracadabra by Steve Miller Band.

Electronic rock.
Yeah, it’s a interesting genre. Fair bit of variety with this one.

This track is a mishmash of elements that either work wonderfully or are extremely surreal.
For me, it works.

This song gets pretty surreal rather quickly, devolving into something different altogether.

The funk elements are cool. The guitar solo is confusing as hell. That baseline is iconic.
Those drums meld beautifully with the synth, which is simple but holds the pace.
I really can’t slot this one directly, because it has so many strange points to it.
