Song of the Day: Monster Mash
Today’s song is Monster Mash by Bobby “Boris” Pickett.
Novelty.
A classic staple from the early 60’s that works beautifully almost 60 years later.
The best song about a mad scientist. Goofy as hell. I love every second of it.
The guests included Wolfman, Dracula and his son.
That simple ‘Awoo’ backing makes this song. That, and the soft back & forth.
The ‘breaks’ in the narration to set the gothic tone work to great effect.
Yeah. It’s silly. It’s a silly holiday.
