Song of the Day: Thriller

Today’s song is Thriller by Michael Jackson.

Pop Funk/Disco.
A classic. It had to be done. This was one of the biggest songs on the planet.

Many hold feelings toward the work/personal life of Michael Jackson.
Personally, I have no issues separating the art from the artist.
This is a legitimate track with decade-lasting appeal.

All the sound effects set such a wonderful tone. A fun juxtaposition from the upbeat music.

I’m a sucker for the Vincent Price “spoken-word sequence” at the end.
It just makes the song last.

There really isn’t much that I can say about this song that hasn’t already been said.
It’s a wonderful Halloween track, yet works every other day of the year as well.
