Song of the Day: Jump

Today’s song is Jump by Van Halen.
Bright. Fun synth (that is a huge departure from the rest of Van Halen’s work).
A bit too upbeat for someone contemplating jumping off a building.
And I know baby, just how you feel. You’ve got to roll with the punches to get to what’s real.

I’m a sucker for synth music. Always have been, always will be.
This was Van Halen’s only number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100.
It was also the band’s last album to feature lead singer David Lee Roth until 2012 (28 years).
