Song of the Day: If You’re Gone

Today’s song is If You’re Gone by Matchbox Twenty.

Alt-Rock/Post-Grunge Pop.
Soft. Guttural at points. Gives off a ‘turn of the century’ tone that still holds up.

There is enough of an edge with this one. Not too much to be off-putting.
Something about the backing really hits something apart from the lyrics.

There’s a little bit of something me in everything in you.

Love the brass section in this. Lightly seasons the track with a beautiful tone.

I just really enjoy the mood of this one. Simple as that.
Yeah, the vocals sound a bit like garbled marbles, but that was late 90’s/early 2000’s singers for you.
