Today’s song is Wakatemba by ExQ.

Afro-Pop.
Another song in a language that I don’t understand but enjoy the procession.

Don’t get me wrong, I get the meaning. Translate enough of the lyrics and you get the gist of the song’s message.
It’s about someone, a trusted person, working to seal someone’s girlfriend and leaving them alone.

Hona akukutorera chimoko wakatemba.

The tone is upbeat, even if the subject matter is unfortunate. Kinda like a Shaggy song (obviously there is a clear difference between reggae and this).

The song is sung in Shona, which comes from Zimbabwe.
There, now you say that you’ve heard a song from Zimbabwe (which I guarantee isn’t an incredible feat).
Still, it is definitely an interesting track. The
