Song of the Day: Rare

Today’s song is Rare by Vardann Arora.

Yeah, this is cover for the Selena Gomez song. Nothing against the original (I really dig the tone of it too).

The original is more mellow and beat-heavy, whereas this one is more up-tempo and bouncy.

I don’t have it all, I’m not claiming to. But I know that I’m special, yeah.

Yeah, the vocal effects are a bit of a trip. You either like it or you might think its a bit overdone. Bit of both.

I understand that this song is somewhat surreal. It came out in a surreal year.
What makes this one interesting are the backing elements, like the base-line and the drum kit.
Maybe I’ll wind up regretting highlighting this one, but if anything, it made me appreciate Selina’s version.
