Song of the Day: My Way

Today’s song is My Way by Frank Sinatra.

Jazz/Traditional Pop.
This song played at my great-grandmother’s funeral. I can’t listen to it without thinking about that.
It really hit me pretty hard listening to it. Then some minister got upset for some reason that she chose this song.
Needless to say, things were a bit weird.

Regardless, I quite enjoy this song.

I’ve had my fill, my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing.

It’s powerful, exuberant, and builds wonderfully.

This is a beautiful song, and the vocals are perfectly accompanied by the bombastic instruments.
There is a lot of heart in this track, and it shows even after years of listening to it.
Well worth highlighting for that reason alone. The rest (and there is a lot to like) is just a bonus.
