Song of the Day: Orange

Today’s song is Orange by Joni.

Alternative/Indie.
This is one of those tracks that grows heavily with you as you give it a few repeat listenings.
All the little intricacies start to reveal themselves, and the appreciation for what’s there expands.

Talking hushed, head rush from the heavy smoke
Wash it down with the sound of the stereo.

The ethereal opening is cool, there is a catchy hook to bridge, and the final half is exquisite.

I like the soft beat and the subtlety to the guitar, the echoing harmonies and the vibe of the whole track.
It’s equally soothing and the end is phenomenal. That change works so well, yet sticks with the theme.
There are two halves of good songs spliced together into this one, and it makes the final result quite pleasant.
