Song of the Day: Something’s Gotta Give

Today’s song is Something’s Gotta Give by Camila Cabello.

Pop.
A fairly calm, contemporary hit.
Just because it’s popular doesn’t mean it isn’t worth highlighting.
It became popular for a reason. There are several excellent aspects of this song.

But all I do is give, and all you do is take.

There is always that one member of a music group that blows up. She was in Fifth Harmony.

As far as ballads go, this one has beautiful progression.
The emphasis is directly on the vocals. Unfortunately, there are no instrumental breaks.
At first I thought it was a shame, but upon further analysis, it’s designed solely to make the lyrics heavier.
It works well, and I like the song.
