Song of the Day: Just the Two of Us

Today’s song is Just the Two of Us by Grover Washington Jr..

R&B/Smooth Jazz.
I love just how eclectic the sound of this track is.
Yeah, the radio version is more ‘concise’, but the whole point is the jazz.

I see the crystal raindrops fall and the beauty of it all is when the sun comes shining through.

The vocals alone make this such an incredible track, let alone that excellent baseline/instrumentation thrown into the mix.

This song is fantastic. Simple as that.
It has a ‘weight’ to it that still hits all the emotional notes that strong love songs can bring.

This song was also the inspiration for a bizarre music scene in Austin Powers 2 (you know what I’m referring to).
Just seeing Verne Troyer jamming in the background (and Rob Lowe looking confused the whole time) is rather fun.
