Song of the Day: Hello

Today’s song is Hello by Lionel Richie.

R&B/Soft Rock
Just about everyone I know is well-aware of this song.
Sorry for not picking something obscure, but this is well worth highlighting.

Are you somewhere feeling lonely or is someone loving you?

The build-up with this track is spectacular. It’s soft-spoken and yet winds up rather bombastic.

I love the steady drums with this one. The way the strings fade in at the end is nice.
Most of the ‘weight’ of this track comes from both the piano and the vocals, both performed by Richie.

It was (and still is) an excellent album. Hearing this song on Vinyl is something I would classify as an ‘experience’.
