Song of the Day: Chasing a Feeling

Today’s song is Chasing a Feeling by The Narrative.

Indie Pop
I once listened to this song on repeat for almost an hour.
The fact that I can come back to it after that (and not hate it) is a solid indication that the track has something interesting going for it.
That, or it just resonates with me for some reason.

And now she’s gliding away, and he hesitates.
Yeah, he waits and he waits.

I’m a sucker for that drum build-up, then the bridge hits with full force.
That guitar riff is also quite nice. Balances the ‘theme’ of the song with it.

The lyrics get to me, especially the end portion (“oh-ohh“).
Something about the mortality aspect and the pursuit of fleeting gratification rings through it all.
I doubt that I’ll enjoy it forever, but I certainly found it cool at one point.
