Song of the Day: Your Love

Today’s song is Your Love by The Outfield.

Pop Rock/Power Pop.
There are many ways to examine this song, each offering new angles, depending on the interpretation.
The lyrics could be describing one confessing feelings for another (“It’s been a while since we were all alone.
I can’t hide the way I’m feeling”), or someone in need of a friend due to an abusive relationship (“
Josie’s on a vacation far away”, “Come around and talk it over”, “I ain’t got many friends left to talk to. Nowhere to run when I’m in trouble”).

Try to stop my hands from shaking, but something in my mind’s not making sense.

There are so many ways to examine this track, but regardless, this is a soothing ballad.

Ultimately, I love this one. It’s been one of my favorites since I was young.
Still holds up, even with the endless scrutiny it could fall under.
I enjoy that’s it’s vague. Could mean anything to anyone.
