Song of the Day: One More Time

Today’s song is One More Time by Daft Punk.

This may be one of my favorite songs. Daft Punk has been my favorite musical group since I was five.
Yes, this song repeats endlessly, but the progression is incredible regardless of the loop.
Its like Groundhog Day for your ears, repeating until you absolutely adore it.

One more time, mmm. You know I’m just feelin’.
Celebration. Tonight.

Focus on the backing. The warbling synth. Yeah, the autotuned vocals take precedence, but hone in on the background. It’s ethereal and gorgeous.

This track is both energizing and soothing. Few songs ever hit me like this one can.
Maybe it’s just my nostalgia hyping it up, but you know damn well how powerful that revival is once it comes back.
I’ve heard this song hundreds of times, and I still adore it.
