Song of the Day: Morning Light

Today’s song is Morning Light by Goldpark.

I needed to jump back to some more contemporary tracks. Here is one that I’ve been enjoying recently.
There is a wonderful sentiment behind the lyrics here. The tone is right in my wheelhouse.

And I hope you know just how hard it’s been to keep myself from losing my mind.

It has a bit of an edge, but doesn’t veer too hard into it. Enough to draw interest. A teaser for a strong hook.

The backing drums (and how they layer/jump in and out) are solid. Note the emphasis on the pauses.
There is just something about the pacing on this that makes it feel well-structured. I like it.
