Song of the Day: Human

Today’s song is Human by The Killers.

New-Wave/Synth-Pop.
This was an interesting detour for the Killers. They pivoted with this album to a more electric sound, and I dug it.
There was still a twinge of rock leftover from the Hot Fuss days, but it was a bit surreal to hear this as a followup.

Are we human or are we dancer?

This track is soothing. Great vocals and a pleasant progression.

The drums keep the pace well (and it blends with interesting synth).
I’ve got mixed feelings about this track. I know that I enjoy it, but there is this weight that follows with it.
Perhaps the ‘retrospective’ feel is what causes it. Regardless, it is a solid sound.
