Song of the Day: Ebay

Today’s song is Ebay by “Weird Al” Yankovic.

Parody.
I’ve loved this song since I was little. This was once one of the first few YouTube songs I ever heard.
It is a fun rendition making fun of I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys.

My house is filled with this crap.
Shows up in bubble wrap, most every day.
What I bought on Ebay.

The little ‘he-he-eee’ fading at the end makes me grin like an idiot every time.

This track really poked fun at the odd consumerism that came from online storefronts.
Yeah, it pointed out the silly elements, which worked for the absurdism.
Al also gets to show off what he’d talk about if he were a boy-band, and that is always fun.
