Today’s song is So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings by Caroline Polachek.
This song hits ‘Kate Bush vibes’ that I’ve been missing for a while.

I can’t really describe this one. She matches HAIM in some stylistic choices.
Also just love the layering on this. You really notice it when you listen for all the elements.
I get a little lonely. Get a little more close to me.You’re the only one who knows me, babe.

I would have posted the music video, but the ‘square-dancing in Hell’ kinda distracts from the music.
The emphasis on the vocal elements kinda match Imogen Heap (who I really enjoy).

Also, it sounds like she’s singing ‘show me the banana‘ and I crack up every time.
Perhaps that’s why I like this song so much. No clue.

As a side note it also has one of the most bizarre remixes I’ve ever heard. I kinda love it.
