Song of the Day: Please Forgive Me

Today’s song is Please Forgive Me by David Gray.
An excellent driving song. Also extremely sweet to sing to someone.
The lyrics are soothing and give a sense of nostalgia.

Like a stone I fall into your eyes. Deep into that mystery.

Those cymbals at the tail end of the song always felt perfect to me.
They blend so well into that acoustic accompaniment. It just really works to cement the lasting tone.
Certain elements date the song a bit (those late 90’s/early 2000’s digital mastering methods).

Still fun to listen to, even with it’s age (over 23 years old now).
Turns out that this is one of the top 50 highest-selling albums of all time. Who knew?
